Join the Trade Skills Academy to gain valuable experience, confidence, and skills to start your career in the industry. You will embark on an 8-week comprehensive program, starting with 1 day a week for the first 4 weeks, followed by a break. After the break, you will progress to 3 days a week for a further four weeks. Throughout the program, you will acquire practical skills, receive employment guidance, and undergo training with a focus on health and safety, accompanied by math support. As part of our commitment to providing hands-on experience, we have partnered with an experienced local building contractor to offer taster sessions in various areas, including Brick and Block, and carpentry.

Our employability sessions - 3 month wrap around support

For those who have participated in our previous courses, the Employability Sessions offer an invaluable opportunity to further enhance your skill set and elevate your career prospects. Delving into a structured six-week program, these sessions focus on refining your CV, mastering job search strategies, and honing crucial interview skills. Explore tailored modules on communication, customer service, and anxiety management.

Additionally, access resources for volunteering and work experience, preparing you for diverse career paths and future training. Join us every Thursday from January 25th to March for a dynamic and supportive learning experience that extends beyond the sessions, providing three months of wrap-around support to assist you in your job search, interview preparation, CV perfection, and overall career progression.
